We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant IT Security Officer to join our Onshore team based at Stena Drilling office, on the south side of Aberdeen city.
Roles & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work within IT strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
- Contribute to Development of IT security policies and procedures.
- Work with Security Officer to evaluate the IT security posture of the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes accordingly.
- Establish and develop solution architecture for IT security and end-user service domains, ensuring security is integrated into all aspects of the organisation’s IT.
- Oversee vulnerability management and secure the design of IT services.
- Involvement in Monitoring, identification, resolution activities, and reporting of IT security KPI’s and Incidents.
- Liaise with Data Protection Officer to develop processes and procedures and provide information and assistance to ensure the organisation complies with appropriate legislation., and assist with data search requests, such as legal, Subject Access Requests, etc.
- Collaborate with our IT teams within Stena Drilling and Stena Group on all aspects of IT security.
- Liaise with our Engineering team within Stena Drilling on all aspects of offshore security.
- Participate in Stena Group IT/OT Security events and joint IT Security projects.
- Work closely with Stena Group’s Managed Security Service provider to maintain systems and respond to incidents as required.
- Collaborate with Managed Service Provider to maintain Enterprise backup system.
- Liaise with 3rd party service providers around IT security.
- Participate in audits relating to IT security.
- Develop and deliver IT security tests and exercises.
- Develop and deliver IT Security user education.
- Visit offshore units and worldwide shore offices as necessary.
- Participate in on-call and shift rotas.
- Attend training courses as identified and follow up with exams/qualifications if available.
- Implement IT Changes in line with the IT Change Management Procedure.
- Maintain high level of awareness in IT, Information, and Cyber Security and provide information and advice to others as necessary.
- Work with elevated account privileges and permissions in line with documented procedures.
- Any other duties as required by the IT Manager or IT Security Officer.
Suitable applicants should ideally have:
- Previous experience in an IT Security Role
- CISA or CISP certification or other proof of experience or competence
- University degree in computer science or similar
- Familiar with security best practices and standards, including NIST, CIS, and ISO, and how to follow these.
- Fundamentals of IT including an understanding of LAN and WAN networks, Operating Systems, Active Directory and authentication systems, Cloud Computing and basic IT security concepts
