As a family-owned company, we realise the importance of our world class employees in the successful delivery of our safe and efficient drilling operations.  We currently have a new and exciting opportunity, for a Graduate Electrical and Electronics Engineer, to join our Engineering Department, based in Aberdeen.

SOME OF THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Shore based support relating to vessel electrical and electronic control systems.
• Support of Offshore Electrical and Electronic Personnel.
• Ensure that equipment failures are properly investigated, root causes identified, and remedial action taken in order to ensure reliability.
• Ensure offshore personnel are informed of any fleet wide issues, product bulletins and safety alerts.
• Advise on preventative maintenance strategies relating to vessel electrical and electronic control systems.
• Co-ordinate and execute electrical and electronic control systems upgrade and modification projects.
• Work on Digitisation initiatives and systems.
• Implement improved collection, display and analysis of vessel control system data.
• Suitable applicants should ideally have completed an internship or placement year in relevant industry with some exposure to the design review, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic control systems, and an understanding or experience in the following:
• Equipment utilised for power generation and distribution including alternators, transformers, UPS & Batteries
• Automation and Control Systems
• Design review, maintenance and troubleshooting of Electronic control systems
• Siemens Step 7 PLC’s, OPC UA/DA, CAN Bus Networks
• Delivery execution of projects and upgrades.
• Control system data collection and analysis

SUITABLE APPLICANTS SHOULD IDEALLY HAVE:

• Some workplace experience in the design review, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic control systems
• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Membership of a Professional Institute & working towards Incorporated/Chartered Status.
• CompEx EX01-EX04 or equivalent
